“Where there is clutter, there is no room for calm and content. Be ruthless. Clear out the chaos and make space for the things in life that really matter.”

Do I need to be present the entire session?
Nope! I ask that you be present in the beginning and at the end.
After I arrive, you’ll show me the space and we’ll review the goals. I’ll ask you to identify items right off the bat that are “keep” and”get rid of.” I’ll get to work and reach out for clarification when needed. About 30-45 minutes before I finish, I’ll ask you to take a look at the space and give me any feedback you may have. If everything looks good, I’ll do some finishing touches, clean up the space and load up my car with all the unwanted items.
Of course, you can be as involved as you’d like, but it isn’t a requirement!
-
How do you make sustainability a priority?
While sorting and organizing in the home, I always use reusable containers or cardboard boxes. With your help, I collect items from around the home and show you how they can be functional in the space we’re working in. Additionally, I try to shop secondhand first and only encourage the purchase of durable/eco-friendly items.
A lot of my energy goes into making sure things don’t end up in the landfill. What you might think is trash, may actually be a wonderful item to be recycled, donated or creatively up-cycled. Know this… I will never leave your home without taking “the clutter” with me. I commit my time to donation and hard-to-recycle drop-offs every week.
-
What happens with items too big for you to haul away?
I provide various resources on trash and donation pick-up services in your area. You can schedule the pick-up or I’d be happy to do that for you. There are many companies that will collect your large items for free or at a very low cost.
Denver Solid Waste Management collects up to 5 large or bulky items (such as furniture) and up to 10 extra bags once a month. In Boulder, Resource Central offers free scheduled donation pick up services.
