I was born and raised in Michigan, but followed my dream of moving to Colorado in July 2018. Best decision I have ever made! I love the mountains and all of the adventures that go along with them, but there was one other thing that really drew me here. SUSTAINABILITY! I was so excited to be surrounded by a community who truly cared about the environment and focused so much of their energy on trying to make it better.
My previous career was in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and had been working with individuals on the autism spectrum for 13 years. I left my job as Clinical Director of a behavior therapy company in July 2020 in hopes of blending my behavioral skillset with my passion for sustainability. I still wanted to help people, but in a different way and one that also positively impacted the environment.
As the oldest of 3 kids, I naturally developed organizational skills and creative ways to rearrange the items in my room so that I always knew when something was “missing.” Pro-tip: Color-coding your closet really helps when your little sister swears she didn’t take your new favorite top. I also grew up loving the TV show Friends. I always identified with Monica and decided one day to embrace my “Monica-isms.”
Sorted Out officially launched in November 2023. I had been helping friends and family declutter, organize and move for years! Throughout my self-love and healing journey, I realized that the things I thought made me neurotic, were in fact my greatest strengths! I thrive when it comes to visually seeing what a room could look like, how to up-cycle or repurpose items, understanding people on a deep level and finding systems that work for them.
I’m still changing lives for the better, but in a different way now and I couldn’t be happier.
